I’m not sure where it came from, but I remember the day I decided anything was possible. I saw an older friend in her cross-country team uniform and something about it made me know that I wanted to be part of a running team. I had never “run” in my life. Was it becoming a runner that I was drawn to? The idea of being part of a team? I’m not sure, but I decided I would join the cross-country team in 7th grade, and I better be ready. From that day, I started “training.” I come from a non-athletic family, so I just did what seemed right. I started running every day. I remember the first day was 400 yards and by the end of the summer, I could run 5 miles. I have continued to this day to have dreams, set goals, and work towards them. Whether they are athletic goals, educational goals, self-improvement goals, or habit change goals, they inspire me to do a little better each day. There have been times that I have learned as I worked toward achieving a goal, that I didn’t actually want what I thought I did. Sometimes I had dreams that didn’t work out. I took these moments as opportunities to reassess what I truly wanted and made sure that my dreams were in alignment with my true self. Sometimes life works out better than you could have imagined. Originally from the east coast, I moved to Jackson in 1992 after graduating from college. I had worked in Jackson, Wyoming during my freshman summer of college and the moment I drove into the Jackson Hole valley, I felt at home and knew it would be my home. After eight years of being a hiking guide, ski instructor, botanist, naturalist, and waitress, I decided to go to massage school because I find joy in helping people, and my years of training and athletic achievement have made me passionate about fitness and maintaining optimum function of the body. I have had a successful and fulfilling massage practice for 21 years. During the Covid pandemic, my experience of working with a life coach inspired me to add life and wellness coaching to my massage practice. When I worked with a coach I was able to accomplish all the things that I had put off for years. I decided I wanted to support others who might be struggling to finish projects, make changes in their lives, or even wanting to reinvent their life. Change, growth, and reaching your dreams is so much easier when you have someone to support you and encourage you. I want to be that person for my clients. As a Board Certified Health and Wellness coach and a certified Life Coach, I love having the opportunity to work with clients and see their amazing transformations. I admire their dedication to making changes in their lives and becoming the best versions of themselves. I am so grateful to be a part of their inspiring journey. I believe change and growth are possible and that we have what we need inside of us to accomplish whatever we decide to.
